Manchester United ensure an all English final!!!!

You know, there has been an all Italian final in the past, so has been an all Spanish final, but now, Manchester United ensured an all English Final by defeating the only non English side, here at Old Trafford.

After a thrilling tie at Nou Camp, which Barcelona deserved to win, the Spanish giants visited England with the hope that they would reach a second final in three years.

Manchester United were not very well rested, after to a loss to Chelsea away, their morale was down and seriously needed to recover.

The match started in Barca’s favour as within the first minute, Scholes conceded a free kick just outside the penalty box. But Barcelona were unable to convert the freekick. 2 more such free kicks were given within the first 5 minutes.

But Manchester soon got the opening goal, in a stylish manner. Ronaldo started a lone run to the goal, only to lose the ball to Zambrotta, who then miss- passed the ball to Scholes, who kicked from a stunning 35 metre distance past Victor Valdez’s outstretched hands. This was Scholes’ 2nd goal of the season!

Barcelona kept 65% of the possession throughout the match, but could not get the ball past the defence. Messi proved a threat though, as the winger devilishly danced through the defence regularly, creating a lot of unconverted chances.

But the final result was - Manchester United won!! So we will have to watch an all English final at Moscow on the 22nd of May!!!
