Raul opened the scorecard for Real Madrid in the 8th minute of the game, with a deflecting shot.
Roma kept pressing Real Madrid and they managed to equalise 16 minutes later via David Pizarro, who also whacked in a powerful deflecting shot past Casillas.
The winning goal came for Roma in the 58th minute, with Mancini scoring after a Totti assist.
Real Madrid and Roma kept playing attacking football, resulting in a few yellow cards for both sides towards the end of the game.
Van Nistelrooy had a chance in the final minutes, only to hit the post and destroy Real's chances of winning the match.
